Since the Under 15 championship finished in September of last Year, I have been getting in as much track time as possible, (although choice is limited over the winter Months).

It was unfortunate that Kenny McKinna was not allowed to run his Scottish Speedway training schools at Ashfield this Winter Due to noise problems, as Glasgow is a track I love to ride,

Also with Dave Tatum & his team installing the new air fence at Stoke over the winter it put an premature end to the Stoke training Schools, although we did get to one session just before work started, (nice track, Good advise of Nigel Crabtree & Chris Irving)

So, it has been the long 4 Hour drives down to Scunthorpe most Sundays & Northside

Every other Saturday.

There is uncertainty this Year over the Under 15 championship & academy league due to changes in the licensing rule for Young Riders, It is rumoured the SCB may restrict the U15 championship to 250cc bike’s, which would rule me out. ! (Watch this space)

Last Year I was a regular second half rider on Friday Nights at Edinburgh, doubling up on occasions when Armadale Dale devils where riding on the Saturday, It was great experience to get out racing with the Lad’s up there, John Campbell & Allan Robertson where a great help to me. They haven’t had the phone call yet, but, hopefully I will be ok to carry on being there adopted Scot.

Likewise at the other end of the M8, Sunday afternoons where Glasgow, racing the same Lads, Again, big thanks to the Tiger’s Management, especially Collin Mackie.

My other Sunday track was Newcastle; I enjoy riding this track, & George English & his staff get me as many rides as possible, again, there phone will be ringing.

Also this Year I am excited about the New track at Redcar, Apparently Garry Havelock is to do several Weekend training schools over the Summer, so I will be attending these.

I also attended the Ivan Mauger Academy of Excellence at Belle Vue on 15 March. I did this same school last Year, & it was great.

I will update my fixtures as the season roles out, along with updates on how I got on, hopefully I can report a few heat wins !
